The annual OWPS Community Festival (previously known as the Art & Craft Show) is full of exciting activities guaranteed to make the weekend fun-filled for children and parents alike! The festival will commence on Friday night and runs through Saturday and Sunday (10am to 4pm) on the school grounds. le to purchase as well as a diverse selection of unique market stalls. Entertainment will include kid’s rides, live performances, and art & craft activities as well as refreshments and food options.

Last Saturday afternoon, we had the Georges River College Peakhurst Jazz and Contemporary Ensembles perform on Main Stage and my goodness were they amazing!

Some of the students were familiar faces having performed on Main Stage last year. It was a pleasure to welcome them back on Main Stage and to witness their growth.

I’ve also been told one of the guitarists can play the guitar behind his back. If you know who I’m talking about, make sure to give him a big pat on his back.

If you want more of GRC Peakhurst bands and other excellent performances from the students, they will be performing at their annual Peakform production on Wednesday, 16th September.

Thank you so much to Coach Chris of Motiv8sports St George for organising all the fun sporting activities for the kids last weekend!

The Astroturf was buzzing with energy as throngs of kids took part in activities such as multi-sport medley race and Soccer Kingpin.

With term 3 break coming up really soon (I know, I know, I know), it’s time to sign the kids up for Motiv8Sports St George fun holiday camps!

Holiday camps will be held at Georges River College Peakhurst Campus, and spots fill up really fast, so book your spots now!

Thread Shed will be back again next year, and now that we’re getting the brand recognition, next year’s Thread Shed will fly off the racks faster than Matt can hand out volunteer T-shirts.

Commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Oatley West Public School Community Festival, Ash of jubilee__amusements kindly offered to go down the big slide with Chris.

It’s unimaginable that Jubilee Amusements has been providing CommFest with carnival rides and games for more than 12 years, and we hope this partnership to continue on for many years to come.

To every single one of you who volunteered.

One single reel will not be able to fit in all of you.

I won’t even begin to try.

Know that every single person I met this weekend sang praises of the festival.

All because of us.

We did it.

And we will do it all again.

For our kids. For our school.

Enjoy a well-deserved rest tonight.

I reckon we’ll need a few weeks to decompress.

But for you who follow us. Enjoy our content.
