We’re just a little bit excited to welcome one of Australia’s most famous and iconic sporting trophies to the Adelaide Hills as part of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour! ❤️

On Sunday 20 September, you’ll have the chance to see the legendary Cup up close, snap a photo and be part of a very special day at Oakbank Racing Club.

It’s not every day the Melbourne Cup comes to town, so we’re planning to give her a very warm Oakbank welcome! 🌿🐎

Exciting news for Oakbank Racing Club! 🎉

Our Racecourse Operations & Sustainability Supervisor, Elysha Wright-Newman, has been named Australia's recipient of the Evergreen Turf & VRC Spring Internship.

We can't wait to see Elysha take part in this incredible opportunity, working alongside VRC Racecourse Manager Liam O'Keeffe in the lead-up to and during the Group 1 Crown Makybe Diva Stakes Day this Spring Carnival. 👏🍀🐎

🏇 Shoutout to our incredible Clerks of the Course! These dedicated riders play a vital role on race day, helping to keep both horses and riders safe.

It’s also fantastic to see so many of our Clerks’ riding former racehorses who are enjoying their second careers after racing, showing the versatility and heart of the thoroughbred.

🏇 A racing tradition 150 years in the making…

Established in the 1870s, Oakbank Racecourse has become one of Australia’s most iconic racing venues, renowned for its unique atmosphere, rich history, and famous Easter Racing Carnival.

From generations of racegoers gathering trackside to the many champions who have raced on the course, Oakbank holds a special place in South Australian racing history.

If you're interested in finding out more about the wonderful history of Oakbank Racing Club, a visit to the Doiran Muesum is a must. 💜

Throwing it back to an unforgettable Easter at Oakbank! 🏇 From thrilling racing action to kids’ activities, picnic setups, and plenty of family fun - it was fantastic to see families making the most of everything the Carnival had to offer.

There’s nothing quite like a day at Oakbank with good company, fresh air, and memories made trackside. Thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make Easter so special!
