There is a funeral coming up next week for our auntie who did a lot of work with culture and language with us for 30 years as we built up our professional music and dance groups. J Nundhirribala always used to dance with us when Red Flag performed. This is one of the last language and Red Flag education resources we made with her for the Wubuy Language Leaners Guide we have been making to teach language in Numbulwar into the future. Made for kids but great for all ages, thank you auntie 🚩🥰⛵️

We are smoking our Dhumbala/Red Flags before our dancing at GARMA because we lost our aunty last week, one of our family’s last old people. She always danced with us and was born in the bush before the community was established and used to paddle to the Makassan sailors in a dug out canoe to trade with them when she was little girl.
