The Weedy Sea Dragon lantern puppet was a highlight in this year's Light Parade.

Lightwave Festival commissioned Hobart based puppeteer, Greta Jean to design and construct this complex and beautiful puppet.

Greta was supported by Édith Perrenot, creative maker & artist and Joseph Shrimpton lighting tech.

Greta & Édith hosted lantern puppet making workshop in the lead-in to Lightwave Festival and the Weedy Sea Dragon was accompanied by shrimp, jelly fish and nudibranchs.
