For years, I have been passionate about introducing Japanese traditional culture and craftsmanship to Australia. Along the way, I have had the privilege of sharing and selling beautiful Japanese crafts from Onta pottery and bamboo crafts to cast ironware and incense, and hosting workshops in Japanese Tea Ceremony and Kintsugi.
And now, I am taking the next step.
I am so excited to announce that my husband and I are starting our own landscape design business, TAKEFUJI LAWLER. 🌿

Our aim is to create landscapes that express the beauty and spirit of Japanese aesthetics and traditions, while embracing the unique nature and character of Australia.
Our very first project is a collaboration with TAFE SA, where we are currently studying Landscape Design. The garden will be exhibited at the Royal Adelaide Show, which opens tomorrow!

It was wonderful to be part of a Japanese cultural event again after such a long time, and I was truly delighted to see so many people come along.
It was such a pleasure to meet and chat with so many people who have an interest in Japanese culture. Sharing our love for Japan and its traditions with others is always a joy.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to AJA for organising the fundraising campaign to support those affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.
And, of course, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who kindly contributed to the fundraiser. Your generosity and support mean so much❤️

In a room beautifully lit by the soft morning light, I had a warm and heartfelt connection through Chado, Japanese Tea Ceremony with everyone who gathered on Saturday morning.
Once again, I was deeply reminded of how the spirit of Chado transcends borders and resonates with people from many different backgrounds.
My sincere thanks go to Kayla-san from for creating such a wonderful opportunity. The Town of Walkerville also hosts a variety of other workshops including knitting and Indonesian batik dyeing, among many others. Their website is definitely worth checking out!

お茶を通して暖かな心の交流をさせていただきました。
国境を越えて様々な人たちに伝わる
「お茶の心」の素晴らしさを改めて痛感しました。
