BAREFACED Stories was created in 2010 by Perth mates Andrea Gibbs & Kerry O’Sullivan and is fast becoming one of Australia’s most exciting storytelling series. Featuring some of the world’s best solo raconteurs, from comedians to pro wrestlers, each storyteller takes the stage in turn with nothing but their true life tales - some humorous, some sad & some downright perverse. Maybe you remember summer afternoons here. Early swims. First dates. Rough seas. Fish and chips in the car. Or the way the coastline looked before everything changed.

Meet Nico—the first dog ever to grace the Barefaced stage.

Diagnosed with a rare eye condition as a teenager, Karen Passmore made it her mission to see the world—literally—before her sight faded. Her story takes us through travel, family and the unexpected companionship of the very goodest guide dog.

It’s a story about resilience, courage and finding joy in places you never expected.

This is the face of an audience member realising: Oh. We are absolutely going there.

On Thursday 27 August, six storytellers take the stage with the confessions, secrets, truths and badly timed silences that changed everything.

Some things are difficult to say.

Some things should probably remain unsaid.

And some things make a room full of strangers react exactly like this.
