BAREFACED Stories was created in 2010 by Perth mates Andrea Gibbs & Kerry O’Sullivan and is fast becoming one of Australia’s most exciting storytelling series. Featuring some of the world’s best solo raconteurs, from comedians to pro wrestlers, each storyteller takes the stage in turn with nothing but their true life tales - some humorous, some sad & some downright perverse. Every year we think, "Surely we've heard the wildest stories already."

And every year we're wrong.

That's the beauty of this theme. Just when you think you've heard it all, someone gets on stage and shares a story so ridiculous, so unexpected, or so wonderfully human that the whole room is hanging on every word.

Where it all began... 📸

This is from our very first Pics or It Didn't Happen show back in 2022.

We thought it might be a fun theme.

Turns out it was one of the best ideas we've ever had.

Since then, it's become a Barefaced Stories tradition. Every year, storytellers take the stage armed with photographic evidence (or at least a very convincing explanation) and share tales that are hilarious, unbelievable and 100% true.

There have been travel disasters, accidental adventures, moments of glory, moments of shame and more than a few stories that left the audience wondering how anyone survived long enough to tell the tale.

And because it's always such a cracker of a night, we're bringing it back again.
