PTMC brings a live A/V set blending power ambient and techno, with accompanying audio-reactive visuals from Parity Check, as the opening act for Franck Vigroux & Antoine Schmitt's VIDEOPOLIS.

A pillar of the Boorloo underground and co-founder of Midnight Elevator, they've helped shape the local dance and electronic music scene through years of community-focused parties, radio, and adventurous programming.

VOLTA [live electronics] PRESENTS VIDEOPOLIS [FR]

SUNDAY 22ND MARCH @ THE RECHABITE HALL

World-renowned French audiovisual artists and .schmitt return to Boorloo/Perth with their new performance VIDEOPOLIS.

A live audiovisual duo blending intense electronic sound with generative visual systems. Vigroux’s raw, physical electronics meet Schmitt’s algorithmic visual art to probe tension, rhythm, and control. Together they build immersive, high-impact works where sound and image act as a single evolving structure.

VIDEOPOLIS emerges from a world overwhelmed with images corrupted by hostile forces.Toxic algorithms distort truth, blur perception, and pit viewpoints against each other until they cancel out. These images flood our visual and cognitive fields to better manipulate and pacify the masses. VIDEOPOLIS poses a fundamental quest ion: how can it be countered?

Alligator Rex deliver live hyperpop/art‑pop built from sequenced synths, pounding drums and pitch‑slewed vocals, for nostalgic, punchy, and chaotic sets. Inspired by the sounds of 100 gecs, FKA twigs and Charli XCX, they rework that energy on hardware for the stage: autotuned singing over razor‑edged beats and mangled synth hooks.

SARCO are a hardware‑driven trio channeling classic acid house into something equally hedonistic and nihilistic.

Live vocals cut through pulsing drum‑machine grooves and delay‑drenched synth lines, built straight from the machines for the floor. They'll be debuting brand-new material fresh from the studio.

Classic Mistake is a Boorloo/Perth chiptune devotee known for wringing club energy from handheld hardware. Building live sets on chopped‑and‑transformed breaks, he makes music live via Game Boy, routing 8‑bit grit through a Digitakt for jittery rhythms and impulsive micro‑edits.

A west‑coast representative of the chiptune underground, he’s collaborated across the space, with their latest releases via Sydney City Chiptune Ministries - a label/collective supporting chipmusic, demoscene, and DIY electronic music with preservation and distribution.
