UPDATE: Please note that this policy has been changed. Please visit our website for the latest information.
9am Fringe update βοΈ The following information is conditional on there being no new cases in Perth announced this morning and that our COVID Safe Plan is re-approved by the Health Department.
Please read this information carefully and with sympathy knowing that it relates to tickets that are crucial income for our treasured artists.
The restrictions require our venue capacities to be further reduced by half. This means that some, but not all shows are currently oversold.
The solution we have come up with is as follows.
If you have a ticket to a show occurring between 7pm on Friday 5 February and midnight on Sunday 7 February you can do the following:
β‘οΈ If you want to go to the show, we will be letting ticket holders into the venue based on who is first in the queue. We suggest arriving 30mins prior to the show commences.
β‘οΈ If the show is oversold, any ticketholders at the venue who arrive after we reach capacity will not be allowed into the show. These ticket holders will receive a refund. You do not need to contact us to request this, it will be automatic.
β‘οΈ If you do not want to see the show (for whatever reason) then do not come to the venue. Our ticket scanners will record you having not attended and you will receive a refund. You do not need to contact us to request this, it will be automatic.
β‘οΈ Friends Skip The Line Passes will not be useable during this time.
We acknowledge this is an imperfect solution, but this is the best we can achieve given the short notice and the high volume of tickets that we have in our system.
There are more than 26,000 tickets issued for shows this weekend, and we do not have the capacity to issue refunds for capacity-affected shows prior to the session commencing. We have considered other options, but any other system would not be possible without penalising customers and artists further.
Because the new capacity restrictions may not impact all shows, there are still plenty of shows with tickets available. If you see a show with tickets available on our website, we encourage you to get them and support our artists. The Festival is a precious opportunity for our community, and we thank you for making the most of it.

There will be delays with processing refunds, but we will honour and get you your refund eventually. We thank you for your considerable understanding and patience during this time, it is trying for us all. When you receive your refund, we ask you to consider donating your refund to our artists through the Fringe Fund.
FURTHER INFO
We do not know yet know what venues will close due to the new restrictions.
We want to ensure patrons that we will take all responsible steps to ensure the Festival is a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. We will be working with the Health Department to ensure this happens.
We will have further updates to you soon, and full information is on our website here π https://bit.ly/3asUf88
SUPPORT ARTISTS
Given that 50% of tickets for many upcoming shows will need to be cancelled/refunded and shows during this last week have all been cancelled, our artists are feeling a huge financial strain.
You can support them by donating to the Fringe Fund.
Funds raised through the Fringe Fund will be distributed fairly to FRINGE WORLD artists impacted by the lockdown and cancellations.
