Meet the Directors Behind Last Tango in Little Grimley and Astonishing Auditions in Little Grimley!

Every great production needs strong leadership, and we are fortunate to have two directors bringing their creativity, experience, and passion to this show.

Working together to bring these much-loved comedy plays to life, our directors have guided the cast through every rehearsal, helping shape the characters, sharpen the laughs, and uncover all the delightful chaos that Little Grimley has to offer.

This absolute diva is the glue that keeps us all together. Known on committee as our “secretary” Rebecca Lennox is so much more than that!

Bec swings into action saving the day with her business finesse, computer skills, ability to think on the hop, solve our dramas, fix our errors and problem solve all while looking glamorous…..and with the voice of an angel!

🎭 Meet the Man Behind the Magic – Corbin Newland 🎭

While you may not see him on stage, you’ll certainly notice his work.

As the show’s Sound and Lighting Operator, Corbin is responsible for creating the atmosphere, timing the cues, and making sure every spotlight, sound effect, and musical moment lands exactly where it should.

From subtle mood changes to perfectly timed technical cues, he’s helping bring the world of Little Grimley to life.

Sound and lighting are often called the “invisible performers” of a production, shaping the audience’s experience from beginning to end.

Introducing Lindsay Newland as Monica!

A familiar face in the local arts community, Lindsay Newland is perhaps best known for her tireless work with the Avon Valley Arts Society, championing creativity and supporting artists across the region.

But art isn’t Lindsay’s only passion. After delighting audiences in Christmas Shorts last year, she’s back on stage and ready to bring her unique charm, warmth, and experience to this production. Whether she’s organising an exhibition or stepping into character under the stage lights, Lindsay proves that creativity comes in many forms.

At first glance, she looks like the person your parents warned you about. Dressed in black, sporting a rebellious edge, and seemingly determined to keep the world at arm’s length, she’s easy to judge before she’s even said a word.

But appearances can be deceiving.

Behind the dark exterior is a character full of surprises, proving that first impressions rarely tell the whole story. As the play unfolds, audiences will discover there’s far more beneath the surface than meets the eye.

While everyone else at the Little Grimley auditions is busy embracing the grandeur of Shakespeare, Brenda seems to have wandered in from an entirely different production.

Played by the delightful Ally Keyes, Brenda brings sparkle, enthusiasm, and absolutely no understanding of the theme whatsoever. Armed with fairy dust and Disney dreams, she’s determined to make her mark—even if she’s completely missed the brief!

Will Brenda’s magical approach win over the theatre group, or will Shakespeare have the final word?
