With the bulk of my wedding season coming to a close and finally having an opportunity to process a massive year, I just wanted to share something that I've kept relatively quiet.
Unfortunately right at the start of this years back end wedding season, right as ny work load was about to increase tenfold, around the middle of August, I lost my best mate and companian of 13 years. One who was always there through the ups and downs of some of the most challenging moments of my life.
It may come as a surprise to so many, as I really did try to keep this pushed deep down so that I could stay strong to put on an amazing show for one of the biggest days of people's lives.
I am still human though, so it's been incredibly challenging to come home after every wedding and not be greeted by her.
A big thank you to those who did know, as well as my closest friends and family for the support while I kept things under wraps so I could focus.
Some people might think that this is just a job for me but it really is so much more than that. I've got big dreams and aspirations of where I want this career to take me, and I feel pain when things don't quite go to plan because I really do want success for not only myself but the couples I work with and everyone around me.
I've kept a lot of my private life away from my business socials, but you're all still working with and alongside a real person with real life things going on.
Millie, I wish you could be there by my side to see it all, but I'm eternally thankful for helping me to have the strength to take the leap and give this big dream a shot. I'll always miss you! β€οΈπΎ
