Dear patrons,

We've been made aware of some problematic statements made from a comedian who has performed at our venue. Firstly, we want to sincerely apologise. These "jokes" were not made at our venue, but apparently from a podcast 3 years ago. We absolutely do not condone this. Effective immediately, this person will not be performing at the Sunday Comedy troupe events, nor at any other Club Voltaire shows.

⚜️ GLOOM ⚜️

Join from 15-18 October at 6pm for a surrealist solo show that presents a distorted depiction of a life longing to be lived. Distorted beyond repair, watch as humanity takes its final breath.

Gloom is a new surrealist solo theatre show that explores the dichotomy between who we dream of being and who we actually are. Inspired by the Theatre of Cruelty movement, Gloom is a collage of self-reflections, unfolding as a series of blended moments of physical theater and projection. Showcased as a mixed-media installation, Gloom presents a corrupted depiction of a life longing to be lived, forged by life experience and the lack thereof.

If you love zombie films or horror films in general, this show will scratch that itch for some gore-ridden, absurd and otherworldly entertainment!
