WOW… WHAT A RIDE IT HAS BEEN!
27 years of Sensory Circus Tribe- Mackay
27 years of circus performances, roving entertainment, workshops, festivals, competitions, laughter, challenges, achievements and memories that I will carry with me forever.
Over those 27 years, I have had the absolute privilege of taking students — young and old — on an incredible circus journey. We have travelled to festivals, performed in so many different places, competed in circus competitions, created productions, dressed up in costumes, built props, pushed boundaries and, most importantly, had FUN!
Sadly, at the end of this term, Sensory Circus Tribe classes will be closing.
I truly want to say a massive THANK YOU to every single student who has been part of our Tribe over the years.
Thank you for always stepping up.
Thank you for being willing to take on a challenge.
Thank you for allowing me to push you to your limits — and sometimes beyond!
Thank you for believing in yourselves and each other.
To every single instructor who has shared this journey with me — thank you. Your time, passion, patience and dedication have meant more than you will ever know.
And to every person who has stood behind our students over the years — helping with productions, performances, props, costumes, rehearsals, set-ups, pack-ups and everything in between — thank you. There have been so many people working behind the scenes to make the magic happen.
Somewhere along the way, we became so much more than a circus school.
We became a family.
We became a Tribe.
And to my own family — Leon and our children — a massive thank you for being beside me throughout this incredible journey. You have supported me, encouraged me, put up with the craziness and been part of Sensory Circus Tribe every step of the way. I couldn’t have done it without you.
Although the classes are coming to an end, we are not totally disappearing!
Sensory Circus Tribe will still pop up at community events, workshops and special occasions, bringing a little bit of circus magic wherever we can.
So this isn’t really goodbye…
It’s simply the end of one very special chapter.
27 years. Countless memories. Hundreds of students. So many friendships. One incredible Tribe.
