We were lucky enough to spend some time learning, singing and having plenty of fun at a special vocal workshop with the wonderful Jo from Songbird Voice Studio! 🎤💕

Thanks to a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland, our choir was able to access this fantastic opportunity to build our vocal skills, confidence and performance techniques.

Here’s a little peek behind the scenes at our workshop - because there’s a lot more to choir than what you see on stage! 🎶✨

We don’t claim to be professional singers… because we’re not. 💜

We’re mums, grandmothers, daughters, retirees, students, and friends who come together each week because we love to sing.

Some of us have never sung in front of an audience before joining Northside Soul Sisters. Some of us are finding our confidence again. Some of us simply need a place to belong.

We rehearse hard. We support each other. We celebrate every win, laugh through the mistakes, and keep showing up.

When you come to one of our performances, you’re not just hearing songs—you’re witnessing courage, friendship, growth, and the joy that music creates in a community.

We may not be professional singers, but every note comes from the heart. And to us, that’s what matters most. 💜🎶

Thank you for cheering us on, encouraging us, and being part of our journey. We can’t wait to share our music with you.
