We are thrilled to hear that the 2nd Prize Winner of the 2013 AFF Young Artist Competition, Nikolai Song, has just been appointed Principal Flute of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra!🌟

Nikolai is a Burkart Artist and was most recently Acting Principal Flute of the Berner Symphonieorchester in Switzerland and Assistant Principal Flute of the Sinfonieorchester Basel. At the time of the 2013 AFF, Nikolai was studying with Roberto Álvarez and went on to study with Philippe Bernold, Florence Souchard-Delépine and Jacques Zoon.
