That’s right folks. “IS THIS A BIT” is back, wild as ever and we need you!!

Are you the good at sniffing out a rat in a town full of mice? Then this is the show for you! Come and join the chaos and unleash your master rodent sniffing skills onto the chaotic freak show everyone’s been talking about.

The comedians are going to spin tales so wild that the hairs on your moral fibre will jump out of your spleen and run screaming into oblivion. YOU have to guess if the insane nonsense is real or IS IT A BIT?!

And here’s the kicker:
👉 If you guess right → they’re out.
👉 If they fool you → they advance to the ‘Chamber of Lies.
👉 Winner gets a feature spot next month 🏆

ARE YOU GOOD AT SPOTTING A BULLS***TER? THEN THIS IS THE SHOW FOR YOU!

Come along for a wild night of truth and deception. Ever heard a wild story onstage and thought, “There’s NO way that’s true”? Well now, you get to call the bluff. Introducing “IS THIS A BIT?”, the comedy competition where comics spin tales and YOU decide if it’s real or just a finely polished piece of BS.

Guess right? They’re out.
Get fooled? They move on.

The winner lands themself a feature spot at the end of the next show, along with the longing gazes and heartfelt nods of everyone on Earth.

This month we are fortunate enough to have the incomparable, the master of chaos and compassion as our feature act.

So that’s it folks! It’s stand-up meets truth-or-dare. A show for sceptics, smartasses, and lovers of absolute chaos.

COMEDIAN FRIENDS! NEW SHOW ALERT!! I’m super excited to announce this new special interest show we’re doing with the legends at in BRISBANE. The show is called “IS THIS A BIT?”

The premise is 5-6 comedians get up and do a funny story about something that has either happened to you for real, or you tell a completely fabricated lie that never happened at all. The story must go for 5 minutes and preferably you make it funny, as this is a comedy show.

The audience then must decide whether you are telling the truth or if it is just a bit. If the audience guesses right, you get eliminated, if the audience guesses wrong, you move on to the sudden death round.

Basically the aim here is to fool the audience by being as convincing as possible. A great exercise in honing stage presence, act outs, long form joke writing and more.

The sudden death round is all the remaining comedians get on stage and do 1 minute stories to fool the audience until 1 comedian is left standing.

“SO WHAT THE HELL DO WE EVEN WIN AND WHY WOULD WE EVEN CONSIDER THIS CONVOLUTED GARBAGE?!”

Okay, harsh. But I understand your anticipation.

The winner gets a paid 20 minute feature spot at the end of the following months gig. Get your face on the poster and everything. You’ll get a cut of the door money and an opportunity to do a longer set. Great way to step out of the 5 & 10 minute set cycle. The feature spot is yours to do whatever it is you do. It doesn’t have to be storytelling to match the show format.
