Commission finished! I had the pleasure to be asked to make this special commission about twin sisters, one is in Spain, the other one is in Sydney, so I felt a instant connection with them! They are really close to each other despite of the distance and Martha, who is Spain, wanted this painting to have lots of Assuies plants and flowers. I hope her twin sister enjoys it✨🌷

ART SUPPLIES🎨 I’ve been wanting to try the Daniel Smith watercolours for years and recently I went más and I bought a big set of colours. These paints are really rich in pigments and the colour rage that they offer is aseesome, it took me a while to chose which ones I wanted to try. The beauty of some of the colours of their range is how they move or how the colour changes depending on the amount of water, they have a very interesting texture that provides to the painting that unique feature. Definitely I have to still trying them ✨

Almost colouring fase! Do you enjoy more doing the line art or the colouring? I think for me it’s depending on the artwork, if I’m doing something more complicated with a lot of different animals or details my focus is on the lines art and I colour it more simple but if I’m doing something more loose like a watercolour I’ll do a lot of layers of color and not paying a lot of attention on the lines 🌿🦋

Sometimes we need to create different things to recharge ourselves or just paint without thinking too much how’s going to look in the result. In this piece I got stresses on the process because I was paying a lot of attention to the details and I wasn’t taking a step back to look the hole piece. I’m so happy that found a home really quick because it encouraged me to keep working in this line 🦋 I’m thinking on doing again this colour scheme, do you likes blues and purples? 🌸

This is part of my oil pastel colours collection , I don’t use oil paintings very frequently because I’m really impacient but I think it’s something I have to work on. Every technique is different and I can’t pretend to work as fast in acrylics or oils as when I do with markers or watercolours. Today seems like a nice rainy day to dedicate to my larger paintings 🌿

Purple eyes for this mysterious lady behind the garden flowers. My next goal is to try a bigger format of this series and maybe adding color to the plants and flowers, but I kinda like that’s there’s only a limited area of the drawing with color, so I’m still thinking about it.
