The Third Voice - Vocal Trio Strong three-part harmonies with occasional instruments and sometimes an entire band 🪘 🎸 🎤

Three strong female voices, mainly unaccompanied, that weave, blend, caterwaul and serenade with new and pre-loved songs that will both challenge and soothe. Gemma Turner, Clarita Derwent and Christina Mimmocchi have followed various musical paths including songwriting, a cappella singing, fronting bands and choirs and confronting diverse musical settings. They share a love of voices in harmony an

d music for the body as well as the mind. The Third Voice was planning a first set of gigs and a recording when COVID struck. Undeterred, they met and recorded demos remotely, finally launching in December 2021 with a series of live gigs in Sydney at the Gaelic Club and The Loaded Dog Folk Club

Christina Mimmocchi and Clarita Derwent, two of the vocalists from were at this weekend with the fabulous Bondi Sings choir, and had the chance to teach some of the Cuban song Chan Chan (by Francisco Repilado).
Well known through the film and band The Buena Vista Social Club.

Some choir who have previously travelled with , and have learnt this song on a Cuba Singing Tour!
