Woah what a day The Triffid for The Push music career expos day for young folk!

Last night was an absolute blast. Huge thanks to The Cave Inn for hosting BTFC again, to our wonderful supporters and audience, and of course to the incredible performers who lit up the stage. We’re so excited to see where your talent takes you next.

To Eve McGrath, Vegas Saint Vendetta, The Noggins, The Sumfinks, Karma Police and The Valley - you all rock!

BTFC has become a space for young musicians and music lovers to play, connect, and feel supported. We greatly appreciate everyone who turns up, cheers hard, and helps keep the live music scene alive.

Eve McGrath is a 17 year old folk-pop singer-songwriter who writes songs that are gut-wrenchingly honest about the pains of growing up. Her set is not one to miss!

Featured on Triple J radio and awarded Best Lyricist for the Triple J Unearthed High Yearbook, Eve Mcgrath is one of Australia’s brightest young storytellers, and we can’t wait to welcome her to BTFC at The Cave Inn on July 10th.

Please meet The Noggins!

The Noggins are an emerging three‑piece band from the Sunshine Coast, blending reggae, indie, psych rock and funk into a distinct, energetic sound. Their debut EP, recorded live onto analogue tape, features original tracks ‘Driving Down the Highway’ and ‘Why Can’t I’, alongside some groovy covers.

After uploading the EP to Triple J Unearthed, the band was spotlighted on the Triple J main show!

Over the past year, they’ve become regulars across Sunshine Coast venues and are the house band for The Precynct’s reggae night, every second month in Nambour.

Please meet Vegas Saint Vendetta, our new BTFC’ers hitting the stage this July 10th.

This pop punk crew is already making noise across Brisbane, recently taking out first place at the St Johns Anglican College Battle of the Bands on June 18th.

Vegas Saint Vendetta is a teen punk band from Brisbane that’s all about adolescent angst, violating the uniform policy and keeping the scene alive. They have been described as “post riot girl emo pop punk” and highly encourage graceless jumping around of the crowd.

We are stoked to welcome them into the lineup for our upcoming show! See you there!

As we head into our next BTFC full rock no filter at The Cave Inn on July 10 - here is an incredible recap filmed by Flynn Cornish at our residency at The Triffid in April.

Thank you Veil, Dellz, Clara, Tilly Mae, Lizzy Harman Quartet and Neve Wintersgill, Karma Police, Hugo & The Hivr, Langwij, Rory Mckenna and Gurilla for the incredible performances over the three week residency.

A huge congratulations to all of the young people involved for their unwavering dedication and genuine love for music.

Here’s an updated lineup for our next BTFC show on Friday 10th of July at The Cave Inn.

This will be another night of energy and inspiration brought to us by incredibly talented young musicians. It is one to miss!

Brisbane is in for a banger weekend. This Friday, catch The Sumfinks and more at Rockin’ the Suburbs at Gaythorne Bowls Club, presented by Mt Maria College.

Saturday is the Chrome Street Fiesta, with Rory McKenna on the lineup, plenty of food and some great workshops to jump into while you’re there.

And on Sunday, finish things off with Elke Louie as she brings her debut EP tour to the Gympie Music Hall. Big weekend ahead.
