The Croatian Wickham Sports Club is a community cooperative run by volunteers, and welcomes members & guests from all walks of life.

Bowling greens, a stage & dance floor, outdoor BBQ area & undercover area, boardroom for activities & offstreet parking.

Gigs at The Croat this week!
Friday night sees Newcastle's best emo bands assembled on one amazing line up. For a bargain door price of $5, in the side room.

Saturday night is non-stop grime with BIGREDCAP. This mega event brings together emcees, DJs, cyphers for non-stop chaos in the main room. Live performances, DJ sets and surprise guest appearances. Tickets > https://events.humanitix.com/grime-rave

Sunday arvo, enjoy our volunteer run sausage sizzle. Bring a picnic rug and enjoy local musos, free 2-5pm. Then at 6pm in the Side Room, experience some of Newcastle's emerging singer/songwriters for a free night of chill acoustic sounds. Have a beer, relax and see something new.

Spidergrind is an annual Newcastle-based music and art event that started in 1997. After a long hiatus, it's happening again this year at the Croatian Wickham Sports Club (Near Hamilton Station).

Expect local Newcastle artists (some ex-Bloody Fist) and Central Coast/Sydney types playing breakcore/hardcore/chiptune music. Cut and paste visuals, music workshops and as tradition dictates, a large metal spider given the angle grinder treatment in the middle of a bowling green.

Kicking off at 1pm on Saturday 26th, with activities and workshops to be announced closer to the date. Feel free to rock up and partake in these.

Loudness and disorientation will kick off at 7pm, and tickets will be limited (just warning you so you don't get a surprise disappointment).

Oh, also, pre-sale tickets are $20, door price is $25 (if any tickets are left).
