Beats dance studio opened in Newcastle in 2008 and is now in it's 16th year of operation. Beats Dance Studio specialises in Funk, Jazz, Street Tap, Cheerleading, Contemporary, Acro and Aerial Hoop. It is unique, it is fresh and most of all it is Fun! You can find us dancing in our studios located close to you at Mayfield and Merewether. Goal:

Thinking about joining dance in Term 3? Now is the perfect time ✨

Our students are currently busy preparing for their Mid-Year Showcase and the excitement in the studio is building! Once we return from the school holidays, all classes will begin brand new routines — making it the ideal opportunity for new students to jump in and for current students to try additional styles.

At Beats Dance Studio, we welcome all ages, abilities and experience levels. Whether your child is dancing for fun, confidence, friendships or bigger goals, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment where every student is encouraged, nurtured and celebrated. 💛

Our preschoolers love coming to dance, and it’s about so much more than just a dance class. It’s balance, coordination, rhythm, confidence, creativity, learning to follow instructions, making friends and having a safe space to shine each week.

Watching these little personalities grow is one of our favourite parts of what we do 🥹

We’ve had the best few weekends at Winter Dance Festival ✨

From first-time performers bravely stepping onto the stage, to watching months of hard work pay off, we couldn’t be prouder of our students.

There have been some beautiful performances, wonderful results and showcase qualifiers along the way 👏

Most importantly, we’ve loved seeing confidence grow, friendships shine and students simply enjoying doing what they love.

We think we picked the perfect week for a PJ party at BDS! 🧸✨

With the cool weather rolling in, our dancers have been rugged up, warm, cosy and still hitting the dance floor in their PJs for a little mid-term fun.

There’s been fluffy slippers, onesies, oodies, lots of laughs and plenty of dancing all week long.

Because sometimes the best dance classes are the ones where you can stay comfy, have fun with your friends and just enjoy being a kid.

At preschool dance, it’s about so much more than learning steps. We’re building confidence, coordination, listening skills, friendships, rhythm and creativity — all while having so much fun they don’t even realise how much they’re learning 💛
