Beats dance studio opened in Newcastle in 2008 and is now in it's 16th year of operation. Beats Dance Studio specialises in Funk, Jazz, Street Tap, Cheerleading, Contemporary, Acro and Aerial Hoop. It is unique, it is fresh and most of all it is Fun! You can find us dancing in our studios located close to you at Mayfield and Merewether. Goal:

Can you believe Term 3 is already nearing the end?! 🤯💛

It feels like we only just started, and suddenly we’re heading into the final few weeks!

Our dancers have been working hard, learning new skills, building confidence and, most importantly, having plenty of fun along the way. 🥰

There’s still lots happening before we wrap up the term — and then it’s straight into an exciting Term 4 and CONCERT SEASON! 💃✨

A big congratulations to all of our beautiful students who sat their LGTDA Tap Exams today! 🖤💛

You all looked absolutely beautiful and should be so proud of the hard work and preparation that got you to today. Now the waiting begins — we can’t wait to receive your results! 🤞✨

Dance exams are such an important part of a dancer’s journey. They give students the opportunity to work towards a goal, develop strong technique and musicality, build confidence and challenge themselves to keep progressing. We love seeing our dancers step up and take on that challenge! 👏

A huge thank you to our wonderful teachers who have worked so hard preparing our students for their exams, and to Mr Lewis for keeping everything running smoothly and helping with the music today. 🎶

Well done, dancers! We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. 🥰🖤💛

✨ WELL INTO CONCERT PREP! ✨

Our BDS kids are officially deep into concert season and the studio is buzzing! 💛🖤

Routines are coming together, creativity is flowing, and most importantly… they are having SO much fun along the way! 🥰

We love watching each dance start as an idea and slowly come to life — learning choreography, working together, building confidence, adding those little performance touches and letting their personalities shine. ✨

There’s lots of hard work happening, but also plenty of laughs, friendships, excitement and those special memories that make concert season one of our favourite times of the year.

The countdown is on and we cannot WAIT to see it all come together on stage! 🎭✨

Our Minis have been working hard on their leg holds, and we are loving seeing their improvement each week! 💛🖤

They’ve been focusing on:
✨ Improving flexibility
✨ Beautiful pointed toes
✨ Extending and straightening through their legs
✨ Pulling up through their supporting leg
✨ Correct hip placement
✨ Building the strength and balance needed to hold their position

They absolutely love the challenge, and there’s always plenty of excitement when they realise they can hold their leg a little higher or a little longer than before! 🥰

Keep practising, Minis — all those little improvements add up! We are so proud of your progress. 👏✨

💛 OUR JUNIOR PERFORMANCE TEAM 💛

There is something so special about this little team. 🥹

Yes, we are proud of the way they dance and what they achieve on stage, but we are even prouder of the beautiful friendships, encouragement and genuine love they have for one another.

This team has experienced plenty of change. They’ve said goodbye to team members, welcomed new ones, adapted, regrouped and continued to grow together. Through it all, they have shown resilience, strength and, most importantly, a shared love of dance.

The side-stage hugs. The cheering from the wings. The pep talks when someone is nervous. The excitement when they walk off stage. The laughs, the memories and the friendships being made along the way. 💛

Girls, we hope you know just how proud we are of you. Keep supporting one another, keep working hard and keep loving what you do.

We love this team. We love watching you grow. And no matter what happens on that stage, we will always be your number one supporters. 🥹💛

✨ COMP season ✨

There’s something pretty special about comp season. 💛🖤

It’s spending our weekends together. Costumes, hairspray, warm-ups and those nervous butterflies waiting side stage. It’s watching your dance friends take the stage, cheering that little bit louder for each other, celebrating the wins and being there for the moments that don’t quite go to plan.

It’s the nerves before the music starts, the excitement when you walk off stage, the hugs, the laughs and all those little memories made in between. 🥹

Because while we love watching our girls perform, dance is about so much more than what happens on stage.

It’s the friendships.
The support.
The confidence.
The teamwork.
The memories they’ll carry with them 💫

A huge congratulations to all of our beautiful BDS dancers who took the stage over the weekend. We are so proud of the way you performed, demonstrated sportsmanship, supported one another and represented our studio.

Another comp weekend in the books… and plenty more memories still to make.
