I spotted this echidna while driving near Graman and couldn’t resist pulling over.

I’ve seen plenty of echidnas on the roadside before, but this was the first time I’ve actually had the chance to photograph one—so it felt pretty special.

I ended up waiting around for a while, hoping it would wander into a better spot… and eventually it did.

Sometimes the best shots just come down to patience.

Howdy All!

My 2026 calendars have arrived for sale, and this year the theme is “Animals of South Africa”. All these photos were taken in May of this year by me in Kruger National Park whilst on safaris.

My calendars feature 14 photos – one for each month plus a front cover and a bonus inside back cover photo. Photos are a mix of black and white and colour mammals, birds and an insect. There are two sizes – choose from A4 and A3 size. Photos in the A4 size calendar are close to A5 in size, and photos in the A3 size calendar are close to A4 size. Days and weeks are below the photos, which ensures that when you write your important dates on the calendar, the pen won’t go through to a photo on the other side. NSW school and public holidays are shaded in grey and dark grey, respectfully. Calendars are wire bound at the top for a nice easy turn between months and the satin finish of the 250gsm paper means that whilst the photos look amazing, it’s also easy to write your reminders on.
