📅 March – 2027 Calendar Photo Reveal

March takes us to the beautiful Natural Bridge in Springbrook National Park, nestled in Queensland's Gold Coast Hinterland.

Here, water rushes through a naturally formed hole in the rock, creating this spectacular waterfall surrounded by lush subtropical rainforest. It's one of those places that feels truly magical.

If you visit after dark, you may even be lucky enough to see the area's famous glow worms. If you do, please keep artificial lighting to an absolute minimum so these remarkable little creatures can thrive without disturbance.

Natural Bridge is a wonderful example of Australia's incredible natural beauty, and I'm delighted to feature it in my 2027 "Around Australia" calendar.

I hope you enjoy this month's photo, and stay tuned for April's reveal!

📅 February – 2027 Calendar Photo Reveal

The February image in my 2027 "Around Australia" calendar was captured at Horseshoe Beach on Newcastle Harbour, NSW.

This old piece of machinery has been slowly rusting away after years of exposure to the sun and the salty air drifting in from the nearby Pacific Ocean. I've been told it's an old winch, but I'd love to know more about its history.

Does anyone know what it was originally used for or have any information about its past? I'd love to hear your insights!

It's amazing how these forgotten relics can tell stories of the area's maritime and industrial heritage.

I hope you enjoy this month's photo, and stay tuned for the March reveal!

📅 January – 2027 Calendar Photo Reveal

The first monthly photo in my 2027 "Around Australia" calendar takes us to Bingara, in northern New South Wales—an area with a rich history of gold and diamond mining.

In the foreground stands an old gold mining stamper battery, a reminder of the town's mining heritage. As I was photographing the scene, a summer thunderstorm rolled in overhead, and I was fortunate to capture a thick bolt of lightning striking the ground just out of town.

Not long after I took this photo, the wind suddenly picked up and I made a quick dash for cover before the storm arrived!

It's one of my favourite images in this year's calendar, combining local history with the raw power of nature.

I hope you enjoy this first monthly reveal. Stay tuned as I'll be sharing each month's photo over the coming weeks!

đź“… The first full photo reveal from my 2027 calendar is here!

I'm excited to share the first featured image from my 2027 "Around Australia" calendar.

This beautiful scene was captured in Belmont, NSW, on the north-eastern shores of Lake Macquarie during an unforgettable sunset. The colours were so incredibly vibrant that I actually toned them down slightly in the final image—they were almost too spectacular to believe!

This is just the beginning of the journey. Over the coming months, I'll be revealing each month's photograph, along with the two bonus images featured in the calendar.

If you'd like your own copy, my 2027 calendars are available now:
📅 A4 – $20
📅 A3 – $35
📦 Postage within Australia starts from $10 for an A4 calendar.

I hope you enjoy this first reveal as much as I enjoyed capturing it. I'd love to hear what you think!

I thought I better join the crowd and post a whale shot from last week! Shot from shore at the short focal length of 158mm. This was easily the best day of shooting whales breaching I've had.

I spotted this echidna while driving near Graman and couldn’t resist pulling over.

I’ve seen plenty of echidnas on the roadside before, but this was the first time I’ve actually had the chance to photograph one—so it felt pretty special.

I ended up waiting around for a while, hoping it would wander into a better spot… and eventually it did.

Sometimes the best shots just come down to patience.

The things we come across, driving in the bush. I've come across a few of these echidnas around Inverell. How cute are they!
