Christ Church Camerata

Christ Church Camerata Newcastle’s Christ Church Camerata is a string chamber orchestra.

The Camerata performs an annual subscription series in the Cathedral, chamber music concerts at a variety of venues, and is the resident orchestra for services at Christ Church Cathedral.

Smiles all round at the end of what has already been described as "A mighty concert" to end this year's 2026 Newcastle Music Festival. Congratulations to Christ Church Camerata and Dr David Banney, with Concert Master Sandra Fitzgerald, for a moving performance which would have pleased Gustav Mahler himself. Thanks to all who came and see you next year!
