💫 After 11 beautiful years, it’s time to wish our gorgeous Liv, Olivia Jenkins, the most incredible next chapter as she hangs up her dance shoes and heads off on an amazing European adventure ✈️💜

Liv, you have been so much more than just a student at PFDA. Your kindness, beautiful manners, gentle nature, and the respect you have always shown to everyone around you have made you such a special part of our dance family.

Thank you for the beautiful flowers, but more importantly thank you for 11 years of memories, loyalty, laughter, and the lovely energy you brought into the studio each and every week. Watching you grow into the beautiful young woman you are today has truly been a privilege.

We are going to miss you so much, but we are also so excited for everything ahead of you. Never forget you will always be part of the PFDA family.

✨ Another Proud PFDA Celebration ✨

Watching our students grow from little dreamers into confident, talented young artists is one of the greatest joys of being a teacher — and today we celebrate the beautiful Cleo and her exciting next chapter.

Cleo has been a part of the PFDA family since she was a little girl, and one of our much-loved iconic mermaids — the routine that has placed first in competitions wherever it has been performed. To see her shine on that stage, and now take the next step in her journey, fills us with so much pride.

She is heading to NAISDA Dance College on the Central Coast to begin her Diploma of Professional Dance Performance, followed by the Advanced Diploma next year for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists — an incredible achievement and opportunity.

Cleo, your talent, beautiful manners, determination, and kind heart will take you so far. You have always shown grace beyond your years, and we know you will carry that same light into this next adventure.

A heartfelt thank you to all the PFDA teachers and mentors who have helped guide Cleo along the way — your dedication, encouragement, and belief have played such an important part in her journey. This truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours.

This is our second celebration post — after recently sharing Tizma’s exciting move to Brent Street — and what a huge year it is shaping up to be for PFDA. Seeing our girls step into their futures with confidence is everything this studio stands for.

💫 My baby girl is flying the nest ✨

At just 19, my beautiful daughter Tizma is moving to Sydney to begin her Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance at Brent Street — and my heart is bursting with pride (and a little ache knowing how much she’ll be missed).

This studio has been her second home since she was born. Raised in both the dance world and her father’s Mixed Martial Arts, she grew up surrounded by discipline, drive, passion, and strength — and she truly flourished in it all.

As her mum and her dance teacher, watching her grow from a tiny little girl in the studio into the strong, grounded, talented young woman she is today has been one of my greatest blessings.

Now she’s also stepping into the professional modelling world with her first runway show — and this is only the beginning.

Thank you to the teachers, mentors, PFDA family, and supporters who have guided and nurtured her along the way — and to Courtney and Dave for supporting her in this next chapter.

Tizma, I’ll miss you more than words can say — but I hope you fly high, stay true, and chase every dream.

💫 We are so excited to welcome Miss Tilly back to our teaching faculty at Physical Funk Dance Academy for 2026!

Miss Tilly has been part of the Physical Funk family since 2002, growing up through our studio and into the incredible teacher she is today. She began assistant teaching in 2006, and over the years has shared her passion across all age groups and styles, with a special love for choreographing Musical Theatre 🎭

Some of her most treasured PFDA memories include shining in her lead role as the Ringmaster in our Cirque De’ Funk concert in 2018 and lighting up the stage as Frenchie in Grease in 2022.

Miss Tilly holds PFDA close to her heart, not just as a studio, but as her second family. We are so grateful for the love, dedication, and magic she brings to our students, and we can’t wait to see what beautiful moments 2026 will bring with her by our side. ✨💫

✨ WELCOME BACK TO THE PFDA FAMILY, ASHA TRISLEY! ✨

I am so incredibly proud to officially welcome the beautiful Asha Trisley back home — this time as part of our teaching team at Physical Funk Dance Academy.

Asha began her dance journey with me at PFDA in 2009 at just six years old, where she built strong foundations and a deep love for performance. Watching her grow from a young student into a professional dancer has been one of the greatest joys of my career.

She later moved to Sydney to pursue full-time professional training with Dargie Entertainment, where she refined her craft across an impressive range of styles including contemporary, acrobatics, commercial jazz, hip hop, ballet, musical theatre, tap, lyrical, and contemporary.

Her training also includes workshops with leading industry choreographers such as Adam Blanch, along with years of dance competition experience that developed her exceptional technique, stage presence, and professionalism.

To now see Asha return to PFDA — not as a student, but as a teacher — is a true full-circle moment. She brings not only outstanding training and experience, but also a beautiful heart and genuine passion for mentoring the next generation of dancers.

Our students are so lucky to learn from someone who truly understands the PFDA journey from the inside out.
