I spend a lot of time painting the Hunter Valley, but one of my favourite things is actually meeting the people who connect with it.

On Monday I'll be at Wollombi Markets with a collection of original artworks inspired by this beautiful region.

There'll be affordable originals, framed prints, ceramic art mugs and a few larger works too.

If you're wanting to put some arty fun into your weekend, why not head out to the Grand Opening of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Art Society Inc Art Exhibition at 3 pm on this coming Sunday 7 June?
Located at Warners Bay Theatre, Lake St, this is a beautiful collection of artworks created by local artists who are Members of the Society. All pieces are available for viewing and/or purchase, including these stunning paintings by Wendy Lesniak.
There will also be unique handmade items including jewellery, scarves, handbags, totebags and pottery.
The exhibition will be open daily from Sunday 7 June to Sunday 14 June, 9 am – 3 pm.
