Life is like art – it’s not a competition.

It’s an opportunity to play, to adventure, and endlessly discover. Art is all these things and has always been, with a little enquiry it is everything that can be. Whether we are young or old, conventionally beautiful, strong, or weak, whether we think we see it all, or if we are blind, deaf, academically brilliant, or intellectually challenged or think of ourselves as not being creative or unimag

inative. I invite you to join me in classes and workshops with all the materials you need included, or gain access yourself to colours. Come one and all - join me and let’s get back to the glorious joy of art! About Carole

Art-making is an inside job - our experiences are truely inside ourselves, reflected in how we see the world. Holding space for others is about respect, creating a supportive environment, listening, encouraging, being flexible, sometimes standing back, and sometimes stepping in when invited. What works for one artist may not for another, and people change! It's important to encourage people to be themselves, support hope, create mindful connections and be a mirror, rather that solve problems or support negativity. As supporting tutors and workshop facilitators, we need to be curious and open-minded and by removing expectation and getting to know people, we build trust. You cannot fake this stuff, holding space needs time, genuine commitment, a grounded outlook and non-judgemental attitude. It's quite a privilege to be able to serve people in this way. I love this work!
