Some stories stay with you and this is one of them ❤️
We had a beautiful interaction with a customer last night. She told us her mum had recently beaten cancer and a few weeks ago they came to Escape Reality to celebrate. They sang songs, escaped their room, laughed, cried and just enjoyed being together.
She said their whole night was filled with laughter, love and tears and that it was exactly what they needed at that time.
She asked me to share their story online and it’s moments like this that remind us why we do what we do. We might provide the rooms, games and karaoke, but sometimes they’re just the background to memories that mean far more than we’ll ever realise.
So for the next week, we’ll be donating 10% of all bookings to cancer research, in honour of our customers, friends and families who have been affected by cancer.
And on a personal note, the beautiful woman in this photo is my amazing Mum, who sadly lost her own battle with cancer. ❤️
