Tired of the same old kid’s party games? Try these.

Tired of Pass the Parcel and Pin the Tail on the Donkey? Here at Bilby Burrow Café we specialise in great children’s parties. And we would love to share some of our best party game ideas with you. Each week we will post a new game that you can try at your next party.

This week we feature the game, ‘Huddles’. Here are the rules:

Players randomly walk around the playing area, while some music is playing. The leader stops the music and calls out a number. Players have 5 seconds to arrange themselves into groups of that number. Anyone not in a group is considered out. Repeat this process over and over. The game ends when two players remain. These two are declared the joint winners.
For a variation, you may ask players to huddle depending on characteristics
or clothing, eg. all with the same colour eyes, all with the same kind of
footwear.

Equipment required:
Music playing device.

Another Variation: Shape Huddles
Same as above, except a variety of shapes are drawn or taped to the floor.
The leader calls a number as well as a shape. For example, “Four players in a triangle.” The number of players called arrange themselves within in the shapes called.

Equipment required:
Chalk, masking tape, or some other means of drawing shapes on the ground.
