There's still a few places left in our voice intensive coming up this weekend. We are only able to offer these programs once a year, so if you've been thinking about signing up this is your opportunity! Just two weeks left until our Linklater Voice Weekend Intensive.

Voice coach and director Janie Gibson will lead you through an immersion in the world renown Linklater Voice technique. Through exercises in breath awareness, relaxation, connection to voice vibration, opening the throat and strengthening the resonators you can explore a more embodied connection to your natural speaking voice.

Your natural voice has a 2-4 octave speaking range and the ability to express the full gamut of human emotion and all the nuance of thought and feeling. Through practical exercise you can unlock more or your potential and power in your voice and expression.

This play is everywhere right now! Our Hamlet lit up Fort Scratchley last December with an immersive multiverse created by this incredible village of artists.

Upcoming Weekend Intensive in Linklater Voice

Join Whale Chorus Artistic Director and vocal coach Janie Gibson in a weekend intensive in the world renown Linklater Voice training for both actors and non–actors.

In this workshop you will awaken your connection to your natural speaking voice through exercises in relaxation, breath awareness, feeling voice vibrations in the body, opening the throat, strengthening the resonators and enlivening articulation. Curious beginners to experienced performers are welcome!

“my lord; I am too much in the sun” 🌞

Along with the joys of outdoor theatre comes mother nature’s occasional unpredictability. This afternoon,Saturday Dec 6th, 4.30pm performance of HAMLET has been cancelled due to the forecast high temperatures.

Good news, however the evening looks to cool down enough for our Saturday 7pm performance, with the Fort offering some nice ocean breezes.

All ticket holders to the 4.30pm performance will be contacted via email and invited to attend another performance in the season. We still have lots of availability for Saturday 6th at 7pm, Sunday 7th at 4.30pm or 7pm.

Please note, tonight’s performance at 7pm will also offer an adjusted track for audience members with low mobility and wheelchair users.
