‘Blissful’

A piece years in the making, Blissful began its life back in 2020—holding within it the quiet evolution of my journey as an artist. Revisiting these canvases, I was struck by how much had changed. Rather than erase what once was, I chose to honour it—leaving traces of the original works beneath the surface. Fleeting dots and markings softly emerge through the layers, a subtle reminder of growth, persistence, and transformation.

Built up through rich, textural layers, this work weaves together decoupage, tinted translucency, and luminous gold foiling. Light dances across the surface, revealing depth, movement, and a sense of calm energy—an invitation to pause and feel.

Bold in scale and presence, Blissful is a striking depth of colours (180cm x 122cm each), designed to be hung either vertically or horizontally. Strung both ways and ready to hang, it offers versatility while making a powerful statement in any space.

A celebration of evolution, intuition, and beauty found in becoming.

Framed in Oak.

Say hello to ‘DRIFT’.

There are seasons in life where you don’t feel anchored — where you ‘drift.’ Motherhood is often a quiet drift — a giving of self, a soft reshaping of identity, moments where direction blurs beneath the needs of others. Yet within that drift lies something powerful.

This piece reflects the ebb and flow of a mother’s journey — the messy, beautiful layers of life. The drips and textured passages speak to the harder days, the unseen sacrifices, while soft peach tones hold the warmth, love and tenderness that define it all. My signature gold gilding shimmers throughout, capturing life’s highlights — those fleeting, magical moments that give everything meaning.

A tribute to the mothers who give, grow, and find themselves again within it all.

A special tribute to my own Mum Maree, who sadly passed last year. This is my first Mother’s Day without her, and I feel that absence deeply. But alongside it sits immense gratitude — for her endless love, her gentle but constant encouragement to follow what I love, and for shaping me into the woman and mother I am today.
