Friends, Romans, countrymen, hear ye, hear ye!
You may have seen the posters. You may have caught a fluttering flyer delivered by light aircraft over Hobart in recent days. But if you don't know, the STCO are having a concert to showcase our term of learning. We'd like to share with you a few pieces. They won't be perfect, in fact we might even need to restart on occasions.
The concert is hosted by a bunch of passionate adults learners who have all become really quite close.
We’ve played together this term under the much admired leadership of William Newbery. Will usually hangs out with the big boys and girls of the TSO and we're so lucky to have his guidance and teaching for this term.
Come and see what we've done. There will be lots of amazing packs of chocolate to buy and a raffle, so bring those pesky notes and coins. We also have facilities for you to swipe away the children's inheritance.
Entry is by donation, so whatever you think on the night. But be warned. We do come with hat in hand, as these concerts are one of our only ways of raising money. All proceeds go to the hire of our venue and some beer and skittles money for our amazing conductors.
Doors open at 7 PM for a 7.30 start, this Tuesday. Come in, buy some raffle tickets, grab a chocolate pack for sale and have a seat with a complementary glass of wine. Afterwards, we provide a free supper, so there's not much to dislike about the evening. Even if you don't love the music, you'll enjoy the tasty treats we have prepared for you to nibble on afterwards and make small awkward conversation with others. It will be fun. We promise!

It's that time again! Come and support us on our quest to host a concert at the end of each term (usually we manage two per year). This term, we have had a blast with our guest conductor, Jack Machin. We've loved his drive, humour and leadership. As usual, we will have outrageously full raffle hampers to win for just a few dollars. And nibbles afterwards. Your mid-winter Tuesday night sorted!
