We are delighted to let you know we have secured a gorgeous new location for our Small Town Markets at Kickstart Arts in New Town.

EOI are OPEN for our Winter Edition (Sunday Aug 2nd to be confirmed).

We are working towards combining the Slow Skills and Small Town Market on the same day.

Get back to us if you are interested in:
🌿Outdoor / indoor stall - artisans, food, produce, community information etc
🌿Workshop facilitator - with participation fees or free for community
🌿Performances - sound / music, storytelling, poetry, dance etc

There are many spaces to activate at this location, but it is limited. To ensure there is enough space for weather changes we will need to cap stallholders/workshops.

We want to celebrate and showcase the wonderful diversity we have on this island state. If you are unsure but would love to offer something please get in touch!

Summer Market CANCELLED - due to wind forecast

It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel the event tomorrow. The wind forecast is not favourable for an outdoor event. We must keep everyone safe.

Due to the challenging size of the market and timing of the xmas period we are unable to postpone and organise another venue/date this year. But we will be back next year with exciting things!

If you were hoping to do some gift shopping from our amazing stallholder line up, please contact them directly. I will also create a post this week sharing the list with categories and social media accounts for you to shop out of the wind.

On-site parking at Okines is limited and prioritised for visitors with accessibility requirements.

Let’s keep traffic light! If it works for you, why not walk, ride, skate or even paddle your way to the market?

But don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! The crew will be guiding parking at the oval for a gold coin donation, with all proceeds supporting the club.

We have an amazing line up of musicians this SUNDAY at the Small Town Market

Donna and Warren Mason from don't need any introduction. The local sweethearts who will crack you open at 12PM

Madelena (She/Her) is a Tasmanian born indie-pop artist Madelena grew up on a beautiful bush block south of Nipaluna with space to create and explore.
Since launching her debut single “My Lightest Shade” in 2016, Madelena has played at many festivals including Falls Festival, Cygnet Folk Festival, Dark M**o, Festival of Voices, Beaker Street, and at the Woodford Folk Festival.

Jed Appleton, a nu-folk artist, began touring at 16 after deciding to leave school and home to perform across Australia, the UK, and Europe on several occasions, sharing stages with notable acts such as Passenger, Matt Corby, Stu Larsen, The Wombats, Boy & Bear + many more. Known for his intense stage energy, rhythmic guitar, and emotionally charged vocals, Appleton has carved his own path from busking to sold out theatres.
