Okay so this is not the same thing as my previous post. Today I found out and I have won another learning & teaching award - this time within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. I am very honoured by this recognition. Three things: 1) A normal year for me goes by without any awards. This year has featured three. 🤓. 2) By posting this everyone now knows my middle name. 3) G&T is in order tonight.

It’s been quite a week. I found out that and I have been honored with a Vice Chancellors Learning & Teaching award for 2023. This is a University wide award with a substantial prize attached and a ceremony next year. There were 5 other categories where staff were awarded. I’m a casual academic but now I can say I’m an award winning lecturer I guess. It all feels a bit surreal TBH. I probably have to buy a suit.
