There is no tuition however there is a friendly interchange of knowledge and skills. There is a large pottery with wheels and kilns and clay for sale.There are groups for printing, painting, patchwork, embroidery, mosaics, life drawing, bonsai, spinners and weavers. Free entry and parking. Weekend café from mid January 2022.

Open Week 15 – 20 June You’re Invited! 🎨 Port Stephens Community Arts Centre Open Week. Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of your favourite local arts centre? Now is your chance to find out! We are opening our doors for a full week of creativity, connection, and community.
Whether you’re a “budding creative,” a history lover, or just looking for a unique locally made gift, there is something for everyone. Come see why we are the heart of Port Stephens culture!
🗓️ When: Monday, June 15th – Sunday, June 20th ⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Daily 📍 Where: Cultural Place, Nelson Bay (The Historic Building on the Crown Lands Reserve)
What’s On: Live Demonstrations: Watch our talented artisans in action—from pottery and spinning to fine painting and woodwork.
Gallery Treasures: Browse unique, handmade items including jewellery, mosaics, patchwork, paintings and bonsai.
Meet the Makers: Our friendly volunteers and artisans will be on hand to answer questions and share their “pleasure of helping each other.”
Join the Journey: Interested in joining? We are looking to expand our membership for 2026! Come chat with us about how you can get involved.
