Well the dust may have settled on the project, but the residues of amazing partnerships, collaborations, and explorations of movement linger in the space where the TRIPODs structure stood. And pave the way for more…
From its construction by Nati Access in March, the TRIPODs structure has engaged the creatives and community of Natimuk along with artists from further afield.
Twelve weeks of movement research, performance development, workshops and training.
Collaborations between YSpace, Wobbly Spoon and Nati Silks.
Contact Improvisation Melbourne travelled down for a weekend for some floor based contact improvisation sessions and then took this exploration to the air.
The Grounded in Flight Easter workshops led by Y Space’s Jillian Pearce and Abby Watkins introduced the concept of movement in flight to those curious to extend their knowledge into another realm.
The Mali Marryng Sky artists captured the beauty of the moth in projections on a backdrop whilst exploring and developing performance concepts for ‘Moth’.
The TRIPODs project has been a vision in the making with thanks to so many people for their support, engagement and joy -
