Quick & simple Make-overs / Freshen ups are a welcome relief from the sometimes laborious monotony of the full-blown restos, and here's a ripper. This game came in as a fantastic example of a solid but worn old survivor: electrically & mechanically perfect but cosmetically over-the-hill (dented rails, nasty lockdown bar, incandescents, line out on DMD, etc.) We got straight in - going with a '2-tone' feel (custom 2Pack Grey 'art' legs & Satin black 2Pack rails & Lockbar), then a tastefully restrained LED upgrade, AIM Mirror-blades, Vampire Glass, ColorDMD, TITAN rubbers, new balls, a PF Wax, a coupla' cabinet touch-ups & VOILA! Looks (and feels) like a new game.

OK, i'm intrigued now. And some of the art IS hand done! Nice one STERN. Dunno about that 'flop-open' death star though...

Stern Pinball's machine is based on the original trilogy, including an exploding Death Star toy and two LCD screens.

This 300hp supercharged Pinball delivery ute revisited us today after ages on the road. It's been 6 years since I had a ball designing and painting this for a great mate, pinball fanatic, guru, aficionado, and all round nice guy Geoff Fraser of Frastrac Trading.
