Thank you for all the beautiful messages 🐝💫

For those who don't already know, my family and I are moving to the Newcastle area. The Hive is staying for the meantime.

I will miss my gorgeous shop and its big windows, I've been going through my photos reminiscing, thought I might pop a few up!

This post interrupts your scrolling for a quick update on the Hive 💫🐝.

I sit here typing this message with a very heavy heart to let you know that in a few weeks time, I am leaving the beautiful space that is The Hive.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to my amazing artist's, friends and followers who've supported and helped me over the past 3 years.

From The Hive's conception (thanks Covid) through to renovation and creation, I am proud to have curated some creativity, sparked some inspiration, discovered and showcased artists and items from Narrandera and the Riverina and provided a platform / stepping stone for some new and emerging creatives.

Let's see, we kicked things off opening on 11 March 2022 and shortly after had our first of many Pinot & Picasso paint and sips. 🍷🎨
Over the months and years that followed we had permanent jewellery, silk scarf printing, watercolours, resin, wreaths, lino, kids craft, Kurrajong, loads of air dry clay, many art classes, furniture painting, crate decorating, merino blanket knitting, beeswax candles, Hello Sunday sessions, photography and art exhibitions, parties, youth workshops, date nights, community events and private events...just to name a few.

I've had the greatest pleasure organising and hosting these workshops and events, learning so much along the way and meeting the most fabulous people.

If your artwork has adorned the walls or your hand made items have graced the shelves - THANK YOU -

If I have had the pleasure of meeting you at one of our workshops or you have brought along your kids to classes or events - THANK YOU -

If you've popped in looking for a gift, just browsed or purchased anything from a postcard to an original one off artwork - THANK YOU -

Sadly a few workshops and goals never quite made it to The Hive despite my best attempts but as the saying goes 'these things happen for a reason'. Who knows, they might still happen one day!

I will miss my gorgeous shop and its big windows, my lovely customers and this amazing little town.

For now the Hive stays as it is, running the Adults and Kids art classes. Stay tuned for future Hive updates 💫🐝

This term we’re going to be looking at Still Life and Animals. We’re going to be drawing and sketching using paint, watercolour and pastels. We will do something different each week on either paper, board or panel. We will have fun, enjoy our art and learn some new skills.
