Such a special day. The opening of the palliative care units at Wyong hospital. So much thought has gone into the the care of families facing such difficult times. I got quite emotional seeing the beautiful space and the depth of consideration by community/ lions club/ Elsie's retreat project and NSW health. Each room has its own couch, fridge, storage, spare bed, outdoor space, there are fruit trees, gardens, a family room. Handmade blankets and art..

Directly after the morning bird whale song book launch I was approached by Elsie's retreat project to purchase books for their family packs and will be performing the song, story and narration next week at their annual fundraiser event with Jen McCrae and Bryden.

So wonderful to see the outcome of such dedication and what is accomplished when community and gov health service work together.

Excited to be invited to this today. What wonderful work the lion's club, Elsie's retreat project, Margaret & team have done to get this beautiful and much need space operating on the coast. The Morning Bird Whale song book has been included in the family packs and I'm so touch they selected this story to accompany families through such a difficult time.

A day we have been working towards, talking about and eagerly awaiting, the opening of the new Palliative Care Unit at Wyong Hospital. Some may know, I've spent the last 2 months preparing these beautiful vintage works for framing and now they are up in the exhibition space at our gallery Deep Water Art Space. Maz does a beautiful job describing them here. Come and see for yourself! I am very fortunate to own one of these pieces :) A beautiful new/old landscape in the art therapy clinic.

A Retrospective - Presented by Karl Schurr:
My father, Reg Schurr, left behind a lifetime of atmospheric landscapes, drawn from imagination and built with repetitive dashes of colour that transform into worlds you want to escape into. He studied at Julian Ashton with John Olsen and Clem Millward, taught art for decades, and never stopped drawing. Not even in his eighties.

This exhibition features a selection of his pastels and drawings, landscapes that have been waiting for their moment.

Shout out to Josie from Josies Soul Star Healing!

I took my daughter along last night and just wanted to share what a lovely offering this is for families in Wyoming.

The session combined kids yoga with gentle ways of noticing and releasing emotions through movement and poses, finishing with some drawing and creative expression. Beautiful experience and learnings - Dawn loved it :)

Kids Yoga is on Mondays from 4:00–4:45pm.
