Tomorrow afternoon | Saturday 20 June 2026, 3pm–6pm

Join Atsuko Radcliffe, the Japanese winemaker behind Small Forest Wines in Denman, for a guided sake tasting featuring a curated selection of sake paired with delicious bites. Learn about the traditions, craftsmanship and culture behind this celebrated beverage.

The tasting will be followed by a ceramic hand-building workshop with exhibiting artist Simon Reece. Using locally sourced Muswellbrook clay, participants will create their own sake cups inspired by the materials, forms and processes explored in Reece's exhibition Muscle.

$20 per person

Continue building your weaving skills in this hands-on workshop designed for participants with some prior experience.

Follow on from the Introduction to Weaving workshop or expand your existing knowledge while sharing stories and techniques in a relaxed, collaborative environment. Participants will explore more advanced weaving methods, along with sourcing and preparing natural materials.

Entries Close Tonight!

The Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize, presented by the Australian Photographic Society, is a national $30,000 acquisitive award seeking Australia's most significant conceptual photographic works.

Finalists are exhibited annually at Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre, with the winning work acquired into the Muswellbrook Shire Art Collection.

Means of work presentation are unrestricted, inviting photographers to illustrate the intent of their works through a myriad of mediums.

Key Dates:
• Entries close midnight 12 June 2026
• Finalists announced 26 June 2026
• Exhibition opening and winner announced 15 August 2026
• Exhibition runs 13 August – 10 October 2026

Join us for a sake tasting with Atsuko Radcliffe, the Japanese winemaker behind Small Forest Wines in Denman. Enjoy a curated selection of sake paired with delicious bites while learning about the traditions and craft behind this celebrated beverage.

Free Aboriginal Art Workshop - Saturday 20 June.

Join exhibiting Wonnarua artist Jaimie Turner for an introduction to storytelling through contemporary Aboriginal art.

Explore how story, culture and connection continue to shape both traditional and contemporary Aboriginal art practices. Participants will learn about traditional symbolism and contribute to collaborative community artworks to be displayed at the centre during NAIDOC Week.

Bookings are essential

Children's session: 11am – 12pm
(Primary school age)
*This is a stay-and-create session – children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Call out for artworks: 2026 NAIDOC Week Art Exhibition

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artists of all ages who live on, or are connected to, Wonnarua Culture and/or Country are invited to submit artwork responding to the 2026 NAIDOC theme, 50 Years of Deadly.

Presented in collaboration with Wonnarua artist Jaimie Turner, and shown alongside her exhibition When the Ground Shifts, this exhibition celebrates culture, community, creativity and connection to Country.

Entry is free.
Submissions close 20 June 2026.
Exhibition: 4 July – 1 August 2026.
Launch: 2–4pm Saturday 4 July 2026.
