Here is why “finishing” cannot happen in most environments (including most healing environments.)

The body will not process, complete, or genuinely rest inside a space where it is still performing. Still guarding. Still monitoring whether it is doing this right, whether it is safe here, whether something will be required of it.

Even well-intentioned healing spaces can keep the nervous system in a low-grade state of readiness. Trying to heal. Trying to release. Trying to get somewhere.

And a body that is trying is a body that is still bracing.

Finishing requires something most environments never offer: a space where the body is not asked to do anything at all. Not even heal. Not even release. Just exist. Held, safe, with nothing required and nothing to perform.

That is what the nervous system has been waiting for.

Not a better technique. The right conditions.

When your nervous system is dominated by sympathetic activity, it can exert tension
on the spine and the nerves that exit between each vertebra, affecting the
communication within those cells. Over time, as we encounter hardship, suffering, and
discomfort, these experiences may accumulate in the body as stagnation, or what we
call 'bound tension' or 'fixation' in Spinal Energetics. Consequently, the body may
