🌟 Wharf Hill just got brighter!

The walking trail between the Wharf Hill car park and the Wharf Precinct has received a major lighting upgrade, with 11 new solar lights now installed along the path.

These improvements boost visibility and create a safer, more welcoming space for evening walks, community events and everything in between 💡✨

This is another great example of the positive progress happening right across our Region.

A new dining experience is arriving at Sturt Reserve!

Council has been working hard behind the scenes to secure a new Lessee for our building at 2 Murray Cods Drive, Sturt Reserve.

We can now officially announce that well-known locals Peter and Damien O'Riley, together with James Jasiunas, have secured the lease and are preparing to open The Foggy Lantern.

Positioned on the riverfront within the Recreation Precinct at Sturt Reserve, this new offering will bring a vibrant new atmosphere to the heart of Murray Bridge.

As the building has been empty for an extended period of time, there is still work to be done to get it ready for service, but we look forward to The Foggy Lantern opening soon.

📢 Sturt Reserve Turf Renovation – Community Notice

Council will soon be undertaking works to repair and improve turf along the Sturt Reserve riverfront, from 2 Murray Cods Drive through to the end of Murray Cods Drive.

🌱 What’s happening
These works are part of Council’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high-quality, safe and accessible public open spaces for the community.

⚠️ What to expect
- Temporary disruptions may occur during the works period
- Access within the work area may be intermittently impacted
- Please follow any onsite signage or instructions

💧 Turf establishment period
To support turf establishment, irrigation will occur daily at approximately 2:00pm for 20 minutes.

Please avoid irrigated areas during this time and until end of May where possible.

We appreciate your patience while these improvements are delivered for the community.
