🏆 AMIC State Sausage King Awards 🏆

On Saturday night we attended the annual WA sausage king awards held at Optus stadium. We are beyond excited to announce that we have come home with one state champion title, 6 gold, 3 silver & 2 bronze awards! We couldn’t be happier with the results!

Our Hickory BBQ lamb Sausage took out the WA state title for best lamb sausage which takes us through to the nationals next year. We have a huge shiny new trophy to add to our shelf which we are so grateful to have received the recognition for! 🏆

We received Gold awards for:

🥇Fat Hippo Chutney & Cheese Sausage
🥇 Pepper, Chilli & Cheese Sausage
🥇 Bryno’s Beef, Cheese & Bacon Sausage
🥇 Beef BBQ Sausage
🥇 Lamb Mergeuz Sausage
🥇 Lamb, Pumpkin & Feta Burger

We received Silver awards for:

🥈 Traditional Beef Burger
🥈 Hot Italian Sausage
🥈 Aussie Pork Sausage

And lastly we received Bronze awards for:

🥉 Mild Italian Sausage
🥉 Jalapeño & Cheese Beef Burger

We can’t thank and congratulate our team enough for all the hard work they put into producing our products each and every day and we are so proud to come home with all of these awards to show for it. Thank you also to our amazing customers who constantly support us, we appreciate you guys so much and are so excited to have been able to bring back a state title to little Donnybrook! 🏆 🥂

Yes we have been a little quiet on Facebook lately, but behind the scenes we’ve been busy making improvements to our old Pub 🍻

A big shout-out to the amazing local businesses who have helped us lately-

Mumballup is a locality in the South West region of Western Australia, situated between Collie and Boyup Brook, 221 kilometres south of Perth. The town is in the Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup.
The wonderful country tavern is now owned by a lovely couple dedicated to bringing the historic tavern back to its former glory days.

It was the location of the death of the former premier of Western Australia James Mitchell in 1951, on a train on the Donnybrook–Katanning railway line. Mumballup was once a siding on the Donnybrook–Katanning railway but the railway line ceased operation in 1982. The Mumballup siding, which opened in 1908, was closed in 1980. It is a location on the Bibbulmun Track.
Mumballup and the Shire of Donnybrook–Balingup are located on the traditional land of the Wardandi people of the Noongar nation.

Traveling through the Ferguson Valley south to Boyup Brook, our travels takes us through the small community of Mumballup, where the iconic and famous Mumby Pub is located.
Many stop for a refresher or a meal break. Very popular especially on weekends when many visit the pub.
The Mumballup Tavern, also known as the Forrest Hotel, was built in 1907 and is a historic landmark in Mumballup, Western Australia. It's a popular local pub and meeting place.

The tavern was originally called the Forrest Wayside Inn
It was built from handmade bricks and pit sawn timber
It served travelers from the Blackwood and Collie districts who were traveling to Bunbury
The old spirits storeroom was used as a school for about seven years
