This photo says it all, time to take idols and figurines off our altar of worship and reorient the divine to within.

Does making this paradigm shift mean things like smoking or other addictions more naturally fall away?

And that taking care of our bodies, our nervous systems, having healthy boundaries, always factoring in down time and living according to our cycles just becomes second nature?

I think it could very well…

I’ve been feeling for a while that the Sacred Reveal (a new type of women’s embodiment event I’m doing with Zoe Everest) has the potential to open up into a spiritual technology and then….

Last night I dreamt I was a scientist who was suddenly thrust into a situation that felt like the plot of a thriller movie.

Another scientist on the verge of a huge breakthrough died and left me 3 million dollars and all his scientific notes - however his siblings were not happy with the money coming my way and so I found myself in a full on mission, dodging attacks all the while trying to locate the notes which were locked up in a cupboard that I was decoding access to.

Flash and then I’m in a women only play space with a ta**ra teacher friend before the dream shifts to something else.

Usually when I facilitate spaces my dream world amps up in preparation, and it seems that this one is saying “You’ve inherited a mission, you’ve been given support, the answers are already there, your job is just to decode/reveal them - through embodiment and playfulness.”

So here we go! The astral portal is opening and the adventure continues!

If this resonates with you, comment “Curious” and I’ll send more info.

Currently we are running a bring a friend for free promo - but places limited, this is to be a very safe and intimate event.

Wow! I’m so high!

I just did something I haven’t done for ages - I went to a life drawing session :) and it was amazing!

Honestly, the last time I did life drawing was before I was a mother, before I moved to this region…I was a different person and it’s so fascinating that, simply being who I am now, has made this thing that I used to do all the time simply magical.

When I was in art school life drawing was…well, compared to the pub, a lot of the art school classes were a bit boring.

This was because I started uni at 17 and was breaking free of the sheltered all-girl Catholic school vibe (where I’d been doing life drawing anyway for about 3 years) and also the uninspiring post-modern vibes going through the Melbourne art schools at that time.

But at almost 50 and being who I am now - well, I just feel like this morning's session was a cross between Vipassana and what I imagine visiting some Goddess temple in the ancient world would be.

I feel like life drawing is a form of body-bathing, similar to the Japanese Shinrin-yoku or ‘forest bathing’.

For two hours my nervous system was in a state of relaxed, sustained attention, my eyes, hand, breath and awareness were all engaged in a flow state based on an intimate relationship of ‘worship’, of reverent attention with the naked female form - studying and expressing a living landscape that is so familiar to me of curves, shadows, lines, shapes, negative space, light, form… ahhh…bliss!

This is a rare combination of meditation, creativity and the embodied naked presence of the model - a woman comfortable with and accepting of her body - carrying a deep knowing that her body is the basis for beautiful works of art.

And who knows what my mirror neurons were doing?

Chat gpt has various theories but qualifies these with “this is a new area of research, so I cannot say anything conclusively.”

Meanwhile, my 100% conclusive conclusion is that they were going off! Streamers, balloons, fireworks, talcum-powder-all-over-the-dancefloor going off!

Our culture teaches us to judge, change and cover our bodies - but this morning in a room of other artists all in the flow state of reverence to their own creativity and the female form, we were holding an ancient portal open where the female form was being worshipped.

Oh geez - I want to say “Not with a prayer, not by kneeling etc” but AI has so overused this grammatical structure that I struggle writing it without acknowledging the struggle!

Ok, struggle acknowledged!.... Continue… 🙂

So, not worshipping with a book, prayer, hymn, priest etc - but the way the ancient artists worshiped the ancient Goddess. Worshipping with our hands and reflecting our own divinity (yes - that’s OUR creativity!) back at this particular Byron Bay based Goddess.

So if the etymological root of religion is “reconnect” - who else is ready to start a Religion with me? A religion with our bodies as what and how we worship.

(Etymological root of worship being - “to honour something according to its worth” - it’s about bloody time sisters!)

For more info comment with “Temple time!” or something similarly fun and funky for and I’ll send a link to the event and I are doing to kick start this movement!

Zoe Everest…you realised this was a movement, right?

Yeah, nah….me either. But it’s evolving!

Thanks Damien Lucas for opening the space and allowing me to take photos of your devotional creations!

What is being revealed in this moment?

Once I started working with the concept of “revealing” many things changed such as my understanding of the depths we have available to us.

I never thought I’d be a soccer mum, and now every Saturday my heart is in my mouth as I watch my son on the field, thinking “Oh, I want to work on his running technique!”

Will I also reveal a layer in myself to find a kick-arse soccer coach awaiting within?
Let’s see!

Something particularly magical that was revealed to me today popped up through research for my book.

I have made a minor character out of PFAS - the “forever plastics” that live in water, and so yes also in us. They cause all sorts of havoc such as cancers and I’ve been learning about the scientists who are dealing with this situation.

One of my main characters is a Well Maiden (she is part of the myths from the original Holy Grail collection circa 1200 AD), and like many of us, she wants to purify water.

And it was revealed to me today that one of the leading scientists doing this work is William Dichtel’s who is a marathon ocean swimmer and has frequently noted that training for a 12-hour swim through the freezing, jellyfish-infested English Channel requires the exact same psychological armor as tackling a seemingly impossible chemistry problem.

Both require extreme patience and a refusal to give up when things look bleak.

I find it so poetic that his deep love for open-water swimming has powered his relentless pursuit to clean the planet’s water and I find his refusal to accept that "forever" means “impossible” so inspirational.

As does my Well Maiden who briefly visits him.

It’s quite interesting bringing my imagination to bear upon reality and to merge the two. Perhaps this is what he was doing? Imagining a planet with clean water?

Meanwhile this ‘picture of well-maidens’ is my friends and the creek I am blessed to live by.

On New Year’s Day myself and three other women did an eco-somatic art adventure where we did ritual at the waterfall and then, a creek scramble in meditative silence picking up all the plastics. Finished by a second spontaneous swim.

When women come together and reveal ourselves/shed our layers we find a deeper connection to nature, to ourselves and to each other.

This is work I am really interested in and am exploring in an upcoming women’s embodiment event with . Please comment for info.

Time to release beliefs we are not good enough…

Time to reveal that WE ARE BEAUTIFUL as we simply are!

Come and join us as we explore the joy, power, beauty, creativity and simplicity of “the divine feminine” = essentially us as just who we are!

Revealing ourselves is a multi-layered process...

For me it's constant and ongoing, things that would not have been in authentic character many years ago like giving myself the internal permission to listen for my 'micro No' and then have the strength to say "Hey - I can't hear about that right now." are coming more naturally for me now.

This was taken outside a Japanese goth club in Osaka around 2006, I was performing with a Victorian Gothic performance troop and so credit them with the mask and wig (covering my shaved head).

I remember that night well as I was broken hearted and pouring my pain onto paper in the form of poetry on the dimly lit street at 2am. I had just developed the courage to admit honestly to myself "Yes, I love this guy. I know I've been rejected...but truth is I still love him."

This 'revelation' of me revealing my true feelings to myself sent me on an amazonian odyssey where I didn't end up with the guy, but ended up with deeper levels of self-knowledge.

Which is a never ending odyssey in itself and what I'm exploring at the moment is how actively engaging with the imagination can be life changing.

Like apologizing to the rocks I had so rudely organized to be excavated from a patch of dirt they had occupied for thousands of years without any forewarning. And listening to what they have to say in response.

I think for us who have grown up with a Western Capitalist mechanistic worldview, imagination is our way to reshape - first ourselves and then the world.

So, can you imagine a world where women felt as peaceful and comfortable in their bodies as the day they were born when their mothers looked upon their naked for in adoration and unconditional love?

I can!

Zoe Everest and I are doing a workshop to bring about that exact reality - link is in the comments. come along and see what depths of beauty you can reveal to yourself!

So.... there has been some magic afoot in my life....external things conspiring in such a way that the message "get back on stage and let it rip" has come through loud and clear.

I'm nervous and excited and also at my edge because what I'm working up for this Sunday I've never done before - true to Elizabeth style I don't think anyone has, but looking around at what's going on on the planet is just a reminder to have courage.

To not let the part of me that might say "You're going to do WHAT...?" rule over such an incredibly powerful idea that has come through with waves of internal and external synchronicity.

So far the three people I've told have been very supportive, so big thanks to Zoe Everest (who will also be singing - can't wait to see what movements are caresses from my cells through her beautiful voice), Andrew Friedrich and Tristan Mckinnon.

It's also an open mike event, so come along at 6 and out your name down at the door for a 3 minute slot of singing, dancing, spoken word, poetry, pantomime - anything! It's such a beautiful and supportive space.

Ticket link in comments or just turn up and pay $10 at the door. Chai and cake served.

Thanks again to Juliet Settepani, Talia and Augustina for holding the flame for creativity!

Was just reminded of this video last night and I'll share some words about this tomorrow perhaps - in the meantime I'm curious... watching this what words/questions/ideas come to you?
