2025 begun with , Gemma, and I lining up for Esoteric before discovering of it’s cancellation. Not sure what to do, we drove down an hour and a half and decided to camp out at a lake. Hearing of the possibility of a couple free tickets and car passes to Pitch thanks to Darcy’s resourcefulness, we hung on to hope that we would in fact get to doof this long weekend.
In the morning tickets were confirmed and we split the 3rd ticket between us and continued our voyage towards Moyston.
Pitch definitely exceeded our expectations, and the lineup was TOP NOTCH! highlight sets would have to be from b2b and the .club takeover in which .disco & played a ripper b2b2b set ( it kept me from catching honey dijon play however it was well worth it with the energy that trio brought).
Many friendships were made over the weekend and we’ve already reconnected for dinner & drinks post Pitch (how good!)
Shoutout to Empire Pizza for looking out for us in the food court, and to .salsiches for bringing a little slice of Eso to the Pitch food court and bringing on those food court VIBES!
Overall the Pitch experience was great, however unfortunately the grounds were left an absolute dump which I feel is important to mention otherwise people will stay complacent and not change their ways. The other thing I was disappointed with was a lack of in between areas between stage and campsites, and a very minimalist approach to providing art at a music and ART festival. That being said, good times were had, connections and community were built, friendships were fostered, and many, many dances were had over sleepless nights!
