These 2 framed beauties were created from my lovely customer’s special family china. I carefully cut all the little coloured pieces from side plates, cups and saucers provided for their wings.
So special to be able to give sentimental but unused crockery another life, to be enjoyed in a whole new way. ❤️🩵

I was recently asked to create something special using some significant pieces of NZ Paua shell, a sentimental but broken tea cup and a selection of little shells. This little house is what we came up with. It will be a housewarming gift for a gorgeous young newlywed couple. The rest of the tea cup was used in the little heart that will go to another family member.

I was so thrilled with how the pieces of Paua fitted so easily together into the roof like a little jigsaw puzzle and the shells became the little garden. I was even able to use the white from the cup for the house.

Such a lovely opportunity to create something so meaningful, very grateful

Took a quick trip home to NZ last week to see my family. And just finished my latest NZ inspired ‘silver fern’, created using pre-loved treasures. 🌿💚
I have a couple available to purchase -

A gorgeous day at Capalaba today.
Lots of happy people out enjoying the sunshine and all the lovely activities and markets organised by the folk IndigiScapes Centre - Redland City Council for their Environment and Community Fair. 🌿

This gorgeous green heart created using beautiful recycled materials is still available. 15cm $45. DM to make it yours. 💚

Do you have plates, cups and dishes you no longer use taking up space in your cupboards? I’d be very happy to take them off your hands and turn them into something different, give them a new lease of life!
I’ve been told that the op shops get so much china and much of it ends up in landfill due to it being slightly damaged or just not selling.
I love using recycled china, it’s often so pretty and delicate, perfect for the mosaic pieces I like to create. Also good to top up my workshop stash so that others can enjoy working with them too.🩷
