Cecchetti exams - Great exam results everyone ! Congratulations to all. Pictured are the youngest of our candidates. They had a great time and all came out with special merits. The improvement in the last few weeks has been really noticeable due to a committed batch of parents encouraging their practice. The examiner told them that she loved poodles and horses when they performed those related steps. Our most enthusiastic student passed comment afterwards that she was really nice and she really loves animals. I think it was a positive experience for all.

PROFESSIONAL BALLET COMPANY FOR ADELAIDE - The Adelaide Ballet
At long last we have the seeds of a professional Classical Ballet Company in our state. This is due to the very courageous efforts of directors Rejane and Sarah. I have met with them more than once and sceptical as I usually am I think they are going to succeed. They appear to have not left a stone unturned. The company has already done several small performances and are planning more full scale ballets from the classical repertoire. They are also providing training for vocational students in conjunction with their existing ballet school. This will be so amazing for our young dancers. They need your support to see this full vision come to fruition. Currently there is a fund raiser to send an emerging artist to Sydney to represent the Company. CECCHETTI MEDAL AWARDS
The Awards were held on Sunday at St Marys College. Well done to our 5 participating students who all gave performances we were proud of. Encouragement awards went to our candidates in the junior encouragement and silver sections. Pictured is Stella who received the encouragement award in the silver section as well as dancing a beautiful demonstration solo as the 2025 bronze winner. Congratulations all.

Congratulations Trinity on being selected to represent our school and our state in the Cecchetti Lucie Saronova (National) Medal Awards to be held in Sydney in July. You have shown your commitment, have worked extremely hard and intelligently. Well deserved. We are proud of you.

CLASS WITH A DIFFERENCE
Business as usual but we were very happy to welcome Sophie for a few classes prior to recommencing her studies interstate. Sophie and Elle have been affectionately coined the "part time students" We hope they will join us whenever the opportunity avails. Meanwhile the rest of us need to work on "hanging in the air" as was so beautifully demonstrated by Sophie.

Bon voyage Elle
This long term student is about to fly the nest to embark on interstate study. Elle I know you are passionate about your chosen career path as you are your about your ballet. We are so glad you have the opportunity to pursue your dreams and congratulate you on being spoilt for choice due to your outstanding results. (that is whilst juggling a significant number of hours in our studio) If you want to wish Elle well you should do so this week. So long for now Elle. All the best for the next chapter of your life. We look forward to seeing you upon your return.
