There is a sound that stops time. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎵

The skirl of the bagpipes rising over the cliffs of Skye at golden hour, carried on an Atlantic wind, heather blazing purple at your feet and a red deer watching from the ridge. It doesn't matter if you were born in Scotland or if Scotland lives only in your blood and your name. That sound reaches something ancient inside you.

The Great Highland Bagpipe, known in Scottish Gaelic as the pìob mhòr (pronounced "peeb vor"), meaning "the great pipe," has been the voice of Scotland for over 500 years. It called warriors to battle at Bannockburn and Culloden. It mourned the dead after the Highland Clearances. It has been played at the funerals of kings and the weddings of crofters. No instrument on earth carries more history in its breath.

The Isle of Skye, An t-Eilean Sgitheanach in Gaelic, has been home to piping traditions for centuries, with the legendary MacCrimmon family serving as hereditary pipers to the MacLeod clan for generations. Their school of piping, Boreraig, is considered the birthplace of ceòl mòr, the great music of the pipes.

This is Scotland. Ancient, proud, and impossible to silence. 🦌🌿
