CALLING FOR VOLUNTEERS - Fancy being part of a mini Pride Parade onstage?
Lis Hoffmann and Lynda Butler's new play CHOKING is part of the three original One Act Plays christening the stage at Melville Theatre's brand new theatre in Booragoon. We are looking for volunteers to take part each night during the season. Show dates are 8th, 9th,10th,14th,15th,16th,17th March 2024
We want all ages, all sizes, all ethnicities. You don't have to commit for the entire season. Ideally we'll create a pool of interested volunteers allowing us to roster you on for your preferred night/s.
Come for one show and get a taste for being onstage- or you can be part of the show every night. CHOKING is set in a hotel so you could also end up as hotel guests and employees. Please feel free to circulate this notice among friends and family.

CASTING CALL for Stella Theatre Company's Production ‘Chasing Moondyne - A Fractured Tale’ written and directed by Lynda Butler
A reimagining of Moondyne Joe bushman and outlaw. Based on real events and characters. Told with wit, drama, romance and a Science Fiction twist.

We are looking to cast four pivotal characters:

MOONDYNE JOE outlaw bushman, horse whisperer and thief – up to 35 years.

KATE HEART runs the Prince of Wales (Mahogany Tavern) is Joe’s love interest, married to Alloysius Heart. – up to 35 years.

TROOPER BOBBY LEANE has captured Joe many times and lost him just as many. Still lives with mother Matilda Temperance Leane, Temperance preacher in Mahogany Creek- up to 45 years.

LIEUTENANT ALLOYSIUS HEART arrogant and controlling husband to Kate. Returns from India very rich, after an agreed separation- up to 35 years.

THIS IS A PAID JOB, subject to successful grant applications.

AUDITIONS: SATURDAY APRIL 29, 2023 from 1.30PM – 8.00PM ROXY THEATRE 55 Ninth Ave, Maylands WA 6051

We will be taking the play to historical York Western Australia as part of this year’s York Festival September 2023. Proposed performance dates, including Tech and Dress rehearsal, are September 11 – 17, 2023. Proposed rehearsals from July 18 – September 9, 2023. Tuesday and Thursdays 6pm - 9pm and Saturdays 10am - 1pm

Hi everyone. Stella Theatre Company is looking for the perfect venue for our upcoming show This Last Time. Around 80-100 seats. A raised stage or raked seating. We have some sound and lighting equipment so could do a pop up if the vibe is right. Anyone have any suggestions of a quirky little space
to suit our quirky little show that is available sometime in August for 2-3 weeks.
