Hello and welcome to Glennos House.

For those who are new here, I’m Bridgette, an artist, creative host and the founder of Glennos House.

After spending more than a decade living and working in Melbourne, I returned home to the South Coast with a desire to create something meaningful within my local community. A space where creativity could be explored without pressure, where people could connect, learn new skills and feel encouraged to follow their own ideas.

My background spans art, graphic design, art direction and creative hosting, but at the heart of everything I do at Glennos is a belief that creativity is for everyone.

Whether you’re joining your children in to an art class, attending an adult workshop or coming along to a creative event, my goal is always the same: to create a warm and welcoming environment where people feel comfortable experimenting, learning and building confidence in their own creative voice.

Thank you for being here and for supporting this little creative space as it continues to grow.

Three beautiful paintings by from the gist of abstract painting workshop a few weeks ago.

It was such a pleasure to see how much joy the process of painting brought Jane on the day. Made me feel very thankful for what I get to do here at Glennos House

We have started on our large canvas project for this semester! Can’t wait to see these sketched concepts painted!

This project is all about imagination, storytelling and learning how to think in a more abstract and creative way. From cats dressed in skirts and hats to fictional space characters, every student has come up with their own unique concept to explore on canvas.

We began by planning ideas on paper before sketching compositions onto the large canvases this week. Students have been thinking about perspective, how to fill space, and how to turn their ideas into bold, expressive artworks.

Next week the painting begins and I already know these are going to be so fun to watch come to life ✨

Celebrate Mother’s Day in a creative and meaningful way by painting side by side.

A chance to slow down and create something together ✨

In this special side-by-side workshop, participants work on one shared canvas. Building a whimsical painting through colour, texture, and layered marks.
Taking turns, responding to each other, and watching something unexpected emerge along the way.

A gentle, playful session focused on connection over perfection.

10:30AM - 12:30PM

$145 FOR 1 CHILD AND MUM

Two weeks of making, exploring, and trusting the process to start off semester two✂️🎨

Week one was all about play, painting colour, testing combinations, and creating patterns without overthinking.
Week two we shifted into cutting, tearing, and rearranging those same painted papers into abstract collages.

What I loved about this project is how it shows kids that nothing is wasted. A painting can become something entirely new. Shapes don’t have to “look like” anything to feel resolved. And sometimes the magic happens when you break something apart and rebuild it differently.

So many beautiful and unexpected compositions came out of this, full of texture, intuition, and personality.

A reminder that creativity isn’t about getting it right, it’s about staying curious and seeing what unfolds 💫

Last week at Pony Painting Club, we saw what can happen when you give kids the space to create ✨

It was focused, screen-free time where they could really drop into the creative flow.
Using their imaginations to create personality that shone through in every pony.

With a calm and grounded energy in the room moments of connection could happen with themselves and with each other.

And of course they got something special to take home, be proud of, and remember the day by 🐴🎨

These workshops are about so much more than just painting. They’re about giving kids an experience that stays with them.

Keep an eye out for the next one 💛
