GYPSY
Orientation Night

Gypsy is one of the classics, with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents. It is loosely based on the 1957 memoirs of vaudeville artist Gypsy Rose Lee, and focuses on life with “the ultimate show business mother”, Rose. It follows the dreams and efforts of Rose to raise two daughters to perform onstage and casts an affectionate eye on the hardships of show business life.

Featuring songs like “Let Me Entertain You” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses”, Gypsy has starred iconic names such as Ethel Merman, Angela Lansbury, Bette Midler, Bernadette Peters, Patti LuPone, Imelda Staunton and most recently Audra McDonald in the 2024 Broadway revival.

Come along to orientation night, meet the production team and hear about their visions for this production. You’ll even be able to have early bird priority for audition bookings.
