You can find us at Stall 280, in the middle aisle, down the silos end, just across from Salamanca Arts Centre.

I (Alby [occassionally Alice]]) feel like I’m late to the party, because I didn’t know that Birkenstock Australia make steel-capped work boots. What I wouldn’t give to go back in time and have these on my feet during site visits for public art projects instead of the horribly heavy clumsy ugly ones I was forced to suffer in.

These boots have all of the hallmarks of Birkenstocks - instantly comfortable, excellent support and look good while doing it. & peeking out from underneath my SÜK Workwear they just look like cute kicks instead of big clunky things.

If you’re a nipaluna/Hobart local you will most likely have heard of Icon Footwear . They are currently having a big sale, including discounts on Birkenstocks, which never happens. Support another lutruwita / Tasmanian small business and get some good gear on your feet.

We are here at Beaker Street Hobartica Precinct, in our lab coats, because glaze nerds are scientists too!

It’s pumping down here at Mawson’s Place with live music, cosy fires, bars, a cold plunge pool, wine tasting dome and lots of yummy eats including delicious Adam James. Beaker Street Festival has absolutely nailed nerdy good times 🤘🏻

In preparation for our stall at Beaker Street Hobartica Night Market we have a fresh batch of small fermentation crocks to bring along - a great example of ceramic alchemy made for food alchemy.

The video shows Isaac Patmore assembling the crocks. Then there is the magic of them coming out of the kiln ✨
Because glaze nerds are scientists too.

You’ll find us in amongst all the Hobartica fun Saturday 5pm - 9.30pm and Sunday 3pm - 8pm.
